Thought to be the Last Group to train for Brazil

I called up my friend Sandra Wall in Vermont tonight, and got quite a bit of more accurate information on her group. She has kept a nice scrapbook that was put together at the end of her training session in Recife, and so was able to give me accurate dates as well as group member names. First of all, I was a bit early in my recollection of when she began training--I thought it was close to January 1978. She certainly concurs with her group being the last group to arrive in Brazil. She's certain there was no other group also training in Minas, that hers was the only group to meet in Miami and then head 3 days later to Recife. My recollection of when she arrived in Brazil was off by a few months (too early)--her scrapbook records them as ending their training on October 31, 1978. Since they probably spend 10 weeks in training, they must have arrived in Brazil sometime in August 1978. This means that the group's two year stint would have begun sometime in November

1978, which makes sense in terms of when the program finally ended two years later in November 1980.

She even had an accurate list of all the volunteers in her group--not all served for two full years, of course, but here is her list of those that were still there in training on October 1978--I hope I got all the spellings correct over the phone.
