I was in the add-on group for Brazil I, known as the MOB, Mail Order Brides. I was engaged to Harold Walton who was in the first group that started 1/2/1962 before he left for Brazil. After applying and passing the training, the MOB group was sent to Brazil in October 1962...our flight to Rio was delayed due to "the Bay of Pigs". Harold (deceased 8/17/1990) and I were married in Rio de Janeiro on 12/21/1962,with the total Brazil I group attending our wedding on 12.21.1962. |
