We trained at Sandanona, The Experiment in International Living, Brattleboro, Vermont starting in November, 1964. In January, 1965, we went to St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, for a month. I think there was
another group finishing up training as we started in Vermont. They were called "Brazil I" and we were called "Brazil II," but that was only as far as Sandanona went. Initially we thought we were BR 13, but when the group was mustered out in 1966 and again during a reunion in the early 1990's, they called us BR 17. So I don't know what the deal was.
