During PC: Worked with the Rural Workers Union in Palmares. Lived on a plantation and organized in about 19 other fincas riding horseback many times at night. Met my wife and continue to visit my site and vacation nearby. After PC: Spent more than 30 years working with workers and peasants representing the AFL-CIO in Latin America. After the change in leadership, President Sweeney named me Coordinator of the Americas for the new Solidarity Center. Retired and in 1999 went to live in South Florida where I coordinate the S.Fla. Interfaith Committee for Worker Justice and teach and do research at Florida International University in Miami.
